The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet by Erin Dionne

I just read a really great book! It's about a girl named Hamlet who is a in 8th grade. She has a genius 7 year old sister named Desdemona (Dezzie) who is in 8th grade with her, and parents who are obsessed with Shakespeare (hence their daughters names). When Hamlet finds out that her class is doing a project on Shakespeare, she discovers that she can not only understand Shakespeare, but she is great at acting it too. She is afraid that she is even more like her wacky family than she thought! When Hamlet starts to think things couldn't possibly get any worse, her pre-algebra class begins to fail, and Dezzie becomes their tutor. Then, the two popular girls in the class start stalking Dezzie. Hamlet wants to figure out what's going on, but finds that she has her own mystery to solve: someone is leaving origami pigs in her locker! If you want to find out what happens, read this book!
